Build-A-Bike Charity

In 2009, Chop Shop traveled to Maryland to compete in the Chesapeake Regional. Team 75, the RoboRaiders, enlisted the help of other competing teams to help them assemble bicycles for charity. Chop Shop saw this as an opportunity to help families in need from their own community and began holding their own Build-a-Bike charity during Mayhem in Merrimack that same year. Huffy Bikes provides unassembled bikes at cost and teams competing at Mayhem in Merrimack help assemble the bikes. In 2016, the bikes were donated to Families in Transition, the Nashua Soup Kitchen and the Merrimack Welfare Program.
