[++FUNDRAISING -- 2007-2008 SEASON++]

The team has already completed some major fundraising events that benefit the current FIRST season: Mayhem in Merrimack, which is a mini-comp that we run in June, the Midway at the HS on July 4th and a Lego Camp that we ran last summer.

Because of the efforts of many at the end of last season, the team has already funded its Scholarship commitments. (The team gives out $1000/year for four years, to a deserving graduating senior.)

Money that is earned from now on will directly help with Travel expenses. The team typically goes to one competition that requires airfare. The average cost of this trip based on the past years is between $400 and $500. Working on the events listed below will help to defray the cost of travel for the students who participate in these events.

[+November 17—Local Lego Meet @MHS+]

All day with setup on Friday night. The team runs a Lego Tournament, that sends its winning teams to the State Lego Tournament which is run by BAE Systems. All team members and parents are encouraged to help with this event. A planning meeting for parents will be held at MHS, 124 D (we will then find an empty corner to meet) on Tuesday, October 9, at 6:00pm (you already have to bring your student to VEX training!!) We have many tasks: both large and small.

[+December 8—State Lego Meet Concessions @NHS North+]

BAE Systems runs the State Lego Meet and they give us the opportunity to raise funds by running the concession stand with the Nashua High School FIRST Team. This is an all day event, both parents and students are needed to man the stand.
