These two student leads are the backbone of the team. They are responsible for the team’s effort to design and build a competitive robot within the budgetary constraints placed on the teams by FIRST and the team’s major sponsor.

The captains are not expected to do all the work, but are expected to provide guidance and leadership, along with assistance from mentors. They need to be aware of every operation from the planning that starts with kickoff and runs through to the last official competition.  These leaders are the embodiment of the soul and spirit of the team, and should serve as examples, as evidenced by their leadership abilities and technical skills, to the rest of the team.
