Historical Chop Shop Vision Plan
The Chop Shop Vision Plan, formerly the “5-Year Plan,” is a guiding document that outlines the team’s goals and ensures the team’s growth. The plan is driven by Chop Shop’s Core Values:

The following encompasses the entirety of the Chop Shop Vision Plan since its conception in 2021.
2021-2022
Restart or create a STEAM and Robotics event for our three local elementary schools
Minimum 3 events in high foot-traffic areas
Redesign recruitment strategy to increase membership
Restart or create a STEAM and Robotics event with a local youth organization or summer camp
Overhaul and redesign our website and social medias
2022-2023
Work closely/Create partnership with a local organization to create a quarterly occurring STEAM event
Restart the LEGO Summer Camp
Improve our relationship with Merrimack School District to acquire more trophy space, funding, and varsity status
Redesign sponsorship strategy to increase funding
2023-2024
Create a STEAM or Outreach workshop/exchange
Begin advocating/researching for statewide varsity status for high school competitive robotics programs
At least 5 team members volunteering at each District Event we compete at when possible
2024-2025
Start FLL teams
Run two sessions of LEGO Summer Camp: 1 beginner week and 1 advanced week
Expand Impact Exchange initiative
Clean up 100 pounds of trash
Run outreach event to reach a group that might not otherwise be exposed to FIRST
Increase documentation within technical subteams
Have a functioning vision system on the competition robot
2025-2026
Double amount of FLL Challenge teams in Merrimack
Establish mental health initiatives
Expand DEI initiatives
Volunteer for two different organizations
Clean up 200 pounds of trash through community cleanups
Begin advocating for FRC to be recognized as a state-sanctioned sport in NH
Expand our machining capabilities
Teach new members the fundamental of the design process
Improve prototyping process
2026-2027
Attend more community events outside of Merrimack
Start a library of internal Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions
Increase STEAM visibility within the school district
Expand MentalHealthFIRST externally
Clean up 250 pounds of trash through community cleanups
Volunteer for three different organizations
Publish reference materials
Have a database of CAD prototypes
Sustain FLL program at 4 teams
Monitor FIRST to see what potential replacement is planned for FLL
Increase involvement with Merrimack’s 3 FTC teams
2027-2028
Run Merrimack Science Fair
Engage FLL age group in a different way
Either start FIRST replacement or create our own
Host FIRSTLikeAGirl meetups/workshops
Volunteer for four organizations

Expand Mayhem in Merrimack
